DJ Jazzy Jeff, Peter Piper Routine

DJ Jazzy Jeff made his way to Serato’s home town Auckland, New Zealand recently where he showed us a special Run DMC – Peter Piper Routine that he put together with Serato DJ, the Rane Sixty-Two mixer, the new Pioneer PLX-1000 turntables, and DDJ-SP1 controller. www.serato.com/artists/dj-jazzyjeff.
Watch as he goes to work on the track, cutting with razor sharp precision – trademark DJ Jazzy Jeff, stuff filmed in front of the iconic Rangitoto Island. Keep your eyes peeled for an interview with DJ Jazzy Jeff while he was here with us too.

  1. Jeff still my favorite DJ of all times. I've seen him do this routine on vinyl (back in the day) and new Serato.

  4. Yooooo Cherub here in this comment section. Hey, I'm a OG Popper and DJ from Camden cross the bridge from Philly.! Jeff n I are same age bracket. You should have witnessed this in Camden back in 83 on Rutgers Campus. Jeff's other DJ partner was Cash Money. They were on the two turntable switching places while on beat. Another thing I think it was Jazzy Jeffy or Cash Money, played like a cop arrested him. He had cuffs on him walked with the cop then broke away jumped back on the turntables and blow the ruff off the sucker! We could believe the artistry of Jazzy Jeff and Cash Money. This was way before they got record deals n way before Jeffy linked with Will Smith. Perry P was the rapper that rocked with Jazzy n Cash. Perry P was a Juggernaut on the mic, he did different voices. Man, them were da dayz! Lol. Sign, Grandmaster Priest.
